Several operating systems and lots of work later, Redmond even decided to give up its deprecated product entirely in favor of a rebranded, more capable alternative, Microsoft Edge. Gone are the days when Microsoft was trying to push its infamous browser, Internet Explorer, to users out there. NOTE: Internet Explorer 11 has retired as of June 15, 2022
